On May 30, 2012, I visited the Windsor Historical Society. Six people were working on a project in the Archives room.  When I said I was a Gaylord, two people immediately said they were relatives! One of them immediately showed me two books that I should read. One had the story of two branches of the Gaylord family, one settling in Windsor and the other in South Carolina. The other was a genealogy of Windsor families, including the Gaylords. It said it corrected some errors in the other book.
